We're Katie and Beckie, the duo behind Wilding Workshop. We've been working together for 4 years, making weird and wonderful things. We are interested in sustainable design, and after both having lived in vans ourselves for over 3 years we have a good idea of what works and what doesn't.  We want our van conversions to be personal and unique, and we draw on our eclectic backgrounds to provide a comprehensive approach.

Katie is a trained scenic artist who has been working in the entertainment industry for the last 6 years. After moving to the Cotswolds her career shifted towards working in interiors, where she derived more joy from creating permanent spaces than being involved in the wasteful world of entertainment. It is through this that she gained a knowledge and passion of sustainable materials. At Wilding Workshop Katie has adapted her previous experience to create sustainable and stylish small spaces.

Beckie has an eclectic background in most areas of craftwork. After training and working in textiles and fashion, she soon developed an interest in carpentry. She turned that interest into skill and she now makes bespoke wooden items and furniture.

She has always had a keen eye for design and has a passion for small spaces. She has lived in two vans over the years and has installed all the electrics, woodwork and soft furnishings herself. She has a strong understanding of what is needed to live comfortably in a small space and her sense of style never fails to bring character to her work.

Our sustainability ethos

The inspiration at Wilding Workshop is our belief in sustainable living. This permeates through our builds where we re-claim, re-use and minimise waste as much as possible. We are dedicated to educating ourselves about sustainable materials to make sure that your van conversion has as little impact on the planet as possible. We do not buy any materials from Amazon or other suppliers whose ethics we do not agree with.
